Korean HIFU (Shurink, Ultraformer, Doublo)

South Korean focused-ultrasound devices: the same idea as Ultherapy, usually cheaper and less painful.

Developed in South KoreaShurink Universe (Classys)Ultraformer III / MPT (Classys)DoubloLiftera

Worth it?

3/5

Better value than Ultherapy for mild results, but results are subtle and depend heavily on the operator. Insist on a genuine, named device.

How it works

Like Ultherapy, these focus ultrasound energy at set depths under the skin to contract tissue and stimulate collagen. Newer models (Shurink Universe, Ultraformer MPT) use faster, gentler pulses at lower energy, so clinics often repeat them more often.

How it feels

Warm prickling and deep aching on bony areas, typically milder than Ultherapy, especially in 'comfort' modes.

Korean HIFU (Shurink, Ultraformer, Doublo) downtime — and is it worth it?

How much downtime: Low — None to minimal: slight redness or tenderness for a day or two.

Cost for that downtime: $300–$1,500 per session (much cheaper in Korea), 1 session every 6–12 months.

Is it worth it? Our verdict (3/5): Better value than Ultherapy for mild results, but results are subtle and depend heavily on the operator. Insist on a genuine, named device.
